#1 Naples Depot Museum – The Best Museum In Naples Florida
First on my list was the Naples Depot Museum. Spoiler alert it’s not the MET or the TATE. It’s a cozy local museum that can teach you about the region.
The Naples Depot Museum was a surprise to me. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I found myself really enjoying it. It’s not a huge museum, but it tells the story of Naples and the railway line in a really interesting way.
As soon as we walked in, I could feel the history of the place. It was really interesting learning about how the railway line played such a big role in Naples’ history. I also loved exploring the antique train carriage! It was really cool getting to see how people used to travel.
It’s a great way to enjoy an afternoon.

#2 The Baker Museum
The Baker Museum was a hidden treasure we stumbled upon one day. We walked in and was amazed by the vast collection of artwork on display. There were paintings by some of my favorite artists, as well as some by artists I had never heard of. I could have spent hours in that museum, but I only had a few minutes before I had to move on to the next thing on my list.
Finally, something that peaked the interest of my boyfriend as well.
He was particularly impressed by the baseball exhibit. As a huge Yankee fan, he was blown away by the amount of memorabilia on loan to the public. It was an incredible experience, and one that we will never forget.
The Baker Museum is a must-see because:

#3 Revs Institute – Car Museum In Naples Florida
Finally a museum for the guys and not just.
You see I have always loved cars. When I was a little girl, my dad would take me to the car showroom and let me sit in the new models. I would dream of driving down the open road with the wind in my hair.
So when I heard there was a museum in Naples Florida with 150+ different cars on display, I knew we had to go.
The Revs Institute was even better than we could have imagined. Our docent-led tour lasted around 2.5 hours and we got to see so many amazing cars. I especially loved the exhibit of vintage cars from the 1920s.
After the tour, we spent some time exploring the exhibits at our leisure. We could have spent all day there! The Revs Institute is definitely a must-see for any car lover.

#4 Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples
When the last time we stayed in Naples, Florida we had the opportunity to visit a few of the local museums.
My sister and her 4-year-old child accompanied us to the museum. This museum is geared specifically towards children and is filled with activities that are both educational and enjoyable.
My four-year-old niece had a great time exploring the museum and learning about different topics such as agriculture, art, and the animal kingdom. The staff at the museum were extremely friendly and helpful, and they made sure that all of the children had a wonderful time.
We spent about two hours at the museum and I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Naples with young children.

#5 Naples Depot Museum
Next up was the Naples Depot Museum. We had no idea what we were going to find inside, but I knew it would be interesting. As soon as we walked in, I saw a small exhibit of old cars. I was delighted and surprised that I stopped when I discovered it.
They had a historic train car on site to explore. I was so fascinated by it that I spent a few minutes learning about the area’s history.
The entire building was air-conditioned, free, and spotless! Even the train was cooled with a machine. This was an unanticipated delight since so much of Naples’ and the Everglades’ history is chronicled here.
We learned about the Seminoles, early settlers, and visionaries who founded Naples as a stunning city today. This is also an excellent spot to stop on your journey; the facilities were immaculate!

#6 Collier Museum at Government Center
We entered the imposing building, and were immediately transported back in time.
We wandered through the museum, taking in all of the information. I was amazed by all of the exhibits, and I felt like I had a much better understanding of the region’s history.
We even got to see a short film about the area. I would definitely recommend this museum to anyone interested in learning more about the history of south Florida.

#7 Naples Train Museum
I’ll never forget the time we visited the Naples Train Museum. It was a fantastic place for youngsters, and we spent almost 4 hours there.
Our 4-year-old niece loved it, and she played until infinity with the interactive buttons.
You can ride its train as many times as you want, and it is actually open on Sunday. We got to see some history while visiting old buildings that have been there since 1920 and served as a train station depot.
It was really fascinating, and it was very easy for its time. Thank you to the ladies who led us and informed us that it was a free self-guided tour. We had an incredible time.
The Naples Train Museum is a great place for youngsters because:
- They can ride the train as many times as they want
- There are interactive buttons that allow you to learn about the trains
- It is easy to navigate and has a lot of history about the local area

We only discovered the Naples Holocaust Museum after visiting the airport’s military museum. Charles at the military museum informed me about this Holocaust Museum, and I’m so glad he did.
The Holocaust Memorial Museum in Naples is a must-see for visitors to the city of Naples. You may go on a self-guided tour or have a guide assist you with “some of the informative displays.”
I don’t think I could have fully appreciated the Naples Holocaust Museum without a personal guide. Elaine was so knowledgeable and passionate about the museum’s displays, and she really helped me to understand the importance of this dark period in history.
